US v Google Day 5: morning is Google trying to confuse Court and record with cross of US expert Dr Lee but Google seems to be confusing itself at times. Perfect example was misattributing words of Google’s own expert to Dr Lee which he called them on, said NO, Court laughed. /1

Day 8 #USvGoogle off to an uneventful start, as conclusion of the DOJ’s case-in-chief grows near.
We began w. Scott Spencer, long-time Xoogler that came over with the DoubleClick thru ‘23. It was a short direct examination, with no cross. (🧵)

Week 2 of #USvGoogle began with long-time Google employee Neal Mohan, who now is YT CEO. Previously, he was at Netgravity, acquired by DoubleClick, then came over to Google with their acquisition, holding a number of product-side roles until he went over to YT in ’15. (thread)

#USvGoogle day 9 kicked off with some lawyer-to-lawyer drama. Google shared their witness list with DOJ, where 6 out of 19 relate to government advertising. Some are government advertisers while others are Google account managers on the government accounts. (thread)
