Things I Wish I Knew When I Started In PPC – August 2, 2022

This week’s chat was hosted by Julie Friedman Bacchini and the topic was “Things I Wish I Knew When I Started In PPC”.

This was another chat where we only got to a few questions, but it was a great and lively discussion with lots of experienced PPC pros offering their thoughts and advice.

Questions

Q1: How long have you been working in PPC? And how did you get into the field initially?

Q2: What is something about PPC in general that you know now that you wished you knew a lot sooner?

(We will get to more specific questions after this one, so keep you answers about the industry or something general to PPC here.)

Q3: What is something about paid search that you know now that you wished you knew a lot sooner?

Q4: What is something about paid social that you know now that you wished you knew a lot sooner?

I feel it’s a bit of a scam that #facebookads will only let you create a site visitor audience with a max duration of 180 days. You *KNOW* they have user data WAAAAY beyond that but, according to them, if it’s been > 180 days, that user is net-new. #ppcchat

YouTube changed the name of the "Influence Consideration" campaign sub type to "Get views"

Only the name of this campaign sub type has changed, it still operates the same.
